Estimate of the weight of japanese quail eggs through fuzzy sets theory Ciência e Agrotecnologia
Castro,Jaqueline de Oliveira; Veloso,Alessandro Vieira; Yanagi Junior,Tadayuki; Fassani,Edison José; Schiassi,Leonardo; Campos,Alessandro Torres.
Quail breeding is a viable alternative for animal production and due to its low investment, fast return of invested capital, use of small areas and creation of jobs has aroused much interest in Brazil. The aim of this study was to develop a model based on fuzzy set theory to predict the weight of eggs from Japanese quails. The proposed fuzzy model was based on data from field measurement experiments, as well as from literature referring to the influence of environment over the weight of eggs. To develop the fuzzy system, air dry-bulb temperature (t db, ° C) and relative air humidity (RH, %) were defined as input variables and trapezoidal and triangular membership functions were used, respectively. The absolute deviation between the values for observed egg...

FUZZY MODELING ON WHEAT PRODUCTIVITY UNDER DIFFERENT DOSES OF SLUDGE AND SEWAGE EFFLUENT REA
Putti,Fernando F.; Kummer,Ana C. B.; Grassi Filho,Helio; Gabriel Filho,Luís R. A.; Cremasco,Camila P..
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of fertilization with composted sewage sludge and irrigation with drinking water (DW) and fertigation with wastewater (WW) in wheat crop using fuzzy rule-based system. The experiment was conducted in the Department of Soil and Environmental Resources, of FCA, UNESP - Botucatu, with factorial 6 × 2, which were applied 6 doses of sewage sludge (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250% of nitrogen recommendation) and two types of effluents (treated water and sewage). In the developing of the system based in fuzzy rules, it was used the Mamdani inference method, where the input variables were sewage sludge doses and water types and the output variables used were the number of tillers, length and number spike per plant;...

Fuzzy rule-based system for evaluation of uncertainty transaction in cassava chain REA
GABRIEL FILHO,LUÍS R. A; PIGATTO,GIULIANA A. S.; LOURENZANI,ANA E. B. S..
A fuzzy ruled-based system was developed in this study and resulted in an index indicating the level of uncertainty related to commercial transactions between cassava growers and their dealers. The fuzzy system was developed based on Transaction Cost Economics approach. The fuzzy system was developed from input variables regarding information sharing between grower and dealer on “Demand/purchase Forecasting”, “Production Forecasting” and “Production Innovation”. The output variable is the level of uncertainty regarding the transaction between seller and buyer agent, which may serve as a system for detecting inefficiencies. Evidences from 27 cassava growers registered in the Regional Development Offices of Tupa and Assis, São Paulo, Brazil, and 48 of their...

PRODUCTIVE RESPONSES FROM BROILER CHICKENS RAISED IN DIFFERENT COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION SYSTEM - PART II: IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE REA
Lourençoni,Dian; Yanagi Junior,Tadayuki; Yanagi,Silvia de N. M.; Abreu,Paulo G. de; Campos,Alessandro T..
ABSTRACT Broiler chickens are homoeothermic animals, i.e., animals capable of maintaining their body temperature within quite narrow limits; therefore, climate change poses a great challenge to poultry. With this in mind, this research aims to evaluate the performance of broilers submitted to different commercial production systems and exposed to different future scenarios, taking into account the climate change trends. To achieve this objective, we developed and validated a fuzzy model able to predict the performance of a broiler as a function of enthalpy along its life stages. This model was developed and validated in part I of this article based on experimental data collected for one year in three aviaries: conventional, negative pressure, and dark...
